WORLD'S LARGEST WIND CHIME

WORLD’S LARGEST WIND CHIME

The Wind Chime was Jim Bolin’s first attempt at World Record Status. The framework for the Chime was assembled on site November 17, 2011. The structure features braces with Christian symbols to add support and provide a reminder of the importance of faith in our daily lives. Chimes were added to the frame on December 15, 2011.

Let the gentle, resonant tones of the World’s Largest Wind Chime serenade you. This elegant, 55-foot-tall marvel, another Guinness World Record holder, is a symphony of engineering and artistry. Its five colossal metal chimes, the longest stretching over 42 feet, are carefully tuned to produce deep, harmonious sounds when stirred by the Illinois breeze. Imagine the precision required to craft and suspend these massive pipes! The experience of standing beneath it, listening to its peaceful melodies drift through the air, is both calming and awe-inspiring. It’s a testament to how something so large can create such delicate beauty.”

Tip: Its location near other big items means you can often hear its soothing sounds while exploring nearby attractions. Listen for its unique song on a windy day!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: First to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
